The IMG Hospital participated last Monday, May 29, in the national emergency and disaster response program, with support from the United States Southern Command through the COE, being the private reference hospital in the event of any natural disaster that could occur in the province of Altagracia In this simulation, the work procedures were tested, through a national exercise where possible situations and/or events of disasters that could affect the country were simulated, in support of technical or scientific studies, with the purpose to identify gaps in operational capacity and contingency plans. The IMG Hospital, honoring its quality standards recognized and verified by the North American Accreditation Commission for Health Centers (ACHC), responded to preventive and corrective management in the face of the threats that occurred during the simulation. Topics such as information management, decision making, crisis management and continuity of services in the event of interruptions in access to supplies and resources, were addressed in a timely and pertinent manner, characterizing the reason for being of the IMG Hospital, to guarantee the safety of our patients, families and internal clients.
